This session – operating both face to face and online – offers a valuable insight into Surrey’s pre-1948 Black history. Led by Curator and Heritage Consultant, S.I Martin, this evening presentation will travel through Surrey’s Black history, focusing on the lives of enslaved young runaways, domestic workers, entrepreneurs and more to demonstrate the impact they have had on the politics and culture of the county.
